Hand embroidery of Sikkim.  Hey guyz!Welcome to my new blog.Tiday I am going to share a very interesting hand embroidery design which not enhances the beauty of cloth but also  it adds Grace and Elegance even in two articles of everyday use. Indian embroidery takes inspiration from nature and the products of various regions reflect the colours of flora and fauna. So, today I will be covering on the very beautiful embroidery work of Sikkim. The dot and the alternate dot,tge curcle,tge square,tge triangle,and various permutations and combinations of these go to make up the designs. It also requires no bulky equipment. In most cases, the artificial only has to deal with the garment yarn needle and Scissors. Isn't it easy!! sometimes an embroidery hoop is used. I will be covering the design and textile work since the Sikkimesework on traditional backstrap lion loom that enhances the quality of the fabric.therefore attractive colour combination and designs can be made today. here is the first textile design of Sikkim for you guys which you would definitely love.   :Sikkim Lepcha:     Of all the tribes in Sikkim,the lepcha community is the most well known for its handloom tradition and has indeed became a loved design there.This design is ethnic and very beautiful at the same time-a rare combination isn't it? The lepcha fabric is used for traditional garments as well as shoulder bags,napkins,cushion covers,table mats and more.While the basic fabric is cotton,wool is used for the motifs that are woven onto this textile.
